In September, Nacon delayed the early access launch of murderous sports game Blood Bowl 3 indefinitely, after previously postponing plans for an August debut. Blood Bowl 3 will now release “later in 2022”, Nacon said today, admitting that its tentative plans for a February launch had now been pushed back. Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong has been beset by a similar hold-up - and again, this isn’t the first delay it has faced either....

The stim is a piece of equipment that restores health points to your character and refreshes super sprint. It’s supposed to help players get out of tough situations, but it has also been used nefariously as part of a raft of troublesome glitches and exploits that just won’t go away - despite multiple patches. A brand new game, dubbed simply Dark Alliance, will be released next autumn for PC and consoles, developed by Tuque Games and Wizards of the Coast. A quick word on Tuque: it’s a relatively unknown studio in Montreal created by ex-Ubisoft veterans. Livelock, the studio’s first game, looks like a pretty good co-op action RPG, which bodes well. Wizards acquired Tuque a couple of months ago and there are around 55 people working there....

Bandai Namco was originally forced to shutter the PC PvP servers for all Dark Souls games back in January following “reports of an issue with online servers”. Although the publisher described the situation as “temporary”, it took over seven months for a fix to be deployed, with Dark Souls 3’s servers finally coming back online at the end of August… and going down again earlier this week. On 21st September, Bandai Namco said “there is a confirmed issue with Dark Souls 3 online play via the Steam platform” and revealed that it was “investigating the source of the problem”, but the servers remained offline for several days....

Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is essentially Death Stranding: Subsistence or Substance, if you will. That’s according to the XboxEra podcast and Windows Central, both of which believe Diablo 4’s tentative “2023” release window can be narrowed down to April, with early access reportedly launching in February, and pre-orders going live as early as next month. It’s thought more news will come during December’s The Game Awards, which certainly sounds plausible enough. Thankfully, we won’t have long to wait to test if the rumours are true; the Awards are set for 8th December which is just a few short weeks away now....

Responding to a post in the game’s subreddit, lead designer Wyatt Cheng said that the team not only wanted to ensure the colours were different, but also change their shape, too, so “players know exactly what they’re getting when they make a purchase”. “This is artwork that we’re working on to help differentiate the Legendary Crest (which will become [the] Orange one) from the Eternal Legendary Crest (which will remain the purple one in the middle, that yields gems that can be sold on the Market),” Cheng explained....
