Although neither the development team nor Sony have formally confirmed the game’s release date, a new video teaser on PlayStation’s Instagram account has revealed Little Devil Inside will release in “Winter 2022”, which is a little more specific than just 2022. Other games in the teaser include Sifu, which is given a window of “Spring 2022” even though it’s slated to release on 8th February 2022, and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach which is, of course, already out (thanks, TheGamer)....

Black Widow’s bikini set is up first, and available today, developer Crystal Dynamics said in a new blog post. Footage of the trio in their new attire lies in the tweet below. Gematsu reported on a listing for a game titled “Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania” briefly being visible via the Australian Classification Board. The page now returns an error. Hopes for a new Super Monkey Ball game have been high since 2019’s re-release of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A remake of the series’ so-so Wii entry, it marked Sega’s return to the franchise after a break of more than five years....

Though not set in stone, of course, producer/director Naoki Yoshida spoke at Tokyo Games Show and teased that Square Enix will “probably release the trailer next month”. “I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to the marketing or public relations teams at all, so I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to say, but I think we’ll probably be able to release the next trailer next month or so," Yoshida said (thanks, Gematsu)....

Something else too: XCOM games are surprisingly rich doll’s houses. You battle aliens, sure, but then you peg it back home and decide which rooms to build and where best to place your bedroom. Midnight Suns is an excellent doll’s house, by the looks of it. In the last hour I fought Hydra guards and chatted to Tony Stark. At one point, I actually punched a helicopter. But I also made it back home and spent a few happy moments deciding where to put a book case and picking out the best bedside table....

Industry sources, speaking to Reuters, said Microsoft is approaching both large and independent studios with deals to put their games on Game Pass. The success Sony saw with Genshin Impact and its developer miHoYo is the reason behind Microsoft’s desire for expansion, sources said. According to one insider, Microsoft “spoke to miHoYo early in [Genshin Impact]’s development but did not reach a deal”. The company “regretted” missing out on Genshin Impact, which “made Sony a lot of money” according to a second insider, and it is keen to not repeat the same mistake....

Facing regulatory scrutiny, Microsoft explicitly committed to Call of Duty releasing on PlayStation beyond existing agreements. Now, the company has also confirmed it’s open to releasing Call of Duty on the Nintendo Switch. Speaking to CNBC, Microsoft’s president Brad Smith stated “We’d like to bring [Call of Duty] to Nintendo devices. We’d like to bring the other popular titles that Activision Blizzard has, and ensure that they continue to be available on PlayStation, [and] that they become available on Nintendo....

Players who received a copy slightly earlier than tomorrow’s official multiplayer release are reporting that the disc contains almost no data and is accompanied by a hefty data download. The latest pre-release update balloons the game to a massive 150GB, which does not yet include Warzone 2.0. Such dummy discs have come under severe criticism, as it places the burden on the player to obtain the rest of the game through the internet, which can be a slow and expensive process for those with low internet speeds and data caps....

Stuart’s involment with the project was first announced back in 2021. The Myth of El Hawa is written by Angel of Darkness scribe Murti Schofield, directed by veteran Tomb Raider fan Ash Kaprielov, and stars voice actress Jonell Elliott (who voiced Lara in several Tomb Raider games including Angel of Darkness and The Last Revelation). As for The Myth of El Hawa itself, this is told through Lara’s diary entries. These reveal how, following her fall into the collapsing temple of Horus at The Last Revelation’s close, Lara struggled to make her way out alive....

The game’s creator Hideki Kamiya took to Twitter to dispute fan theories on the new mode that removes nudity from the game. If anything, Nintendo actually wanted her Link outfit in previous games to be more revealing. The sequel takes place in a new era and involves eight new characters whose adventures you’ll get to individually play. The era appears to be more modern and reminds me of a kind of 18th/19th Century. There are huge, ocean-going ships but also trains of a kind, probably steam. And it looks as deliciously dinky and delicate as Octopath Traveler did before it. Characters will also apparently now have different path actions at day and night, and there’s specific mention of their stories intertwining in this game....

I wanted to talk with a few disabled people about how these mods are a good thing for making older PlayStation games more accessible. I wanted to hear about the restrictions, but I also wanted to highlight how, going forward, studios can allow disabled players to not have to rely on third-party mods in future ports. First though, it’s just an interesting time for accessibility mods in general. “Before the mod, I wouldn’t have been able to play Hearthstone at all” disabled streamer and accessibility consultant SightlessKombat tells me when talking about Heartstone Access, a mod released in 2021 that makes the 2014 digital collectable card game accessible to the blind....
