From today, five custom Eurogamer Contracts that we’ve created will be featured in the game and they’re bursting with Easter eggs for regular viewers of our Youtube channel to discover. Set exclusively in the Mendoza level of Hitman 3 and playable across all available platforms, these custom contracts take place against the beautiful backdrop of the winery and vineyards of Viñedo Yates. That stunning scenery won’t be serene for very long however, as these missions embrace the Video Team’s love of all things chaotic....

The developer, known for This War of Mine and Frostpunk, will follow this rule starting from today, following on from the recent awareness of key scammers posing as curators. In its statement, the studio said that the decision was made based on its own experiences and those of other developers. “Based on our and other devs’ experiences, most of the requests come from fake accounts used to gather and resell the keys,” the statement reads....

Whispers the Dutch studio was working with the legendary Metal Gear Solid creator were sparked by a teasing reveal of its new project Abandoned on the PlayStation blog yesterday - and fuelled by Kojima fans curious who the little-known Blue Box Game Studios really was. Abandoned is described as a cinematic survival sim, set in a snowy and ultra-realistic looking wilderness. Its first teaser, below, received praise for its visuals and creepy setting - with parallels to Silent Hill’s atmosphere being drawn....

In a report by The Washington Post, employees revealed Raven management held several meetings and town halls ahead of the workforce’s upcoming vote to unionise. During one such town hall, held on 26th April, Raven management reportedly inferred that any unionisation within the company would “impede game development and affect promotions and benefits”. Following this meeting, employees then received an email with an attachment that simply read “Please vote no”....

Since the MMORPG arrived in the west last month, some players have expressed disappointment in both the gender locked classes and the prevalence of revealing female outfits. The class of your in-game character is tied to their gender. For example, only men can be warriors and only women can be mages. A blog post from developer Smilegate last year acknowledged this as an issue, but Park states the female Berserker is the next class to hit the game in Korea....

Evercade, for those unfamiliar, exists in two versions: a home console known as the Evercade VS and the upcoming handheld Evercade EXP. Starting on 9th March and running until the 23rd, the Chaos Theory Collection Event brings a number of free earnable cosmetics, which largely seem to have an orangey-brown theme. You can earn 1000 points per day, with challenges that refresh daily and additional “stretch challenges” that give out unique badges if completed during the event. Alongside the free stuff, there’s also a bunch of premium skins that you’ll have to purchase either with Apex Coins or Crafting Metals - or alternatively, through buying Event Apex Packs....

The Chinese mega corp has acquired a minority stake in Bohemia Interactive, which is based in the Czech Republic. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. Bohemia boss Marek Španěl insisted his company will continue to operate independently and be led by the existing management team. The initial plan is to bring Bohemia’s PC and mobile sandbox creation platform Ylands to Chinese players. “We are pleased to deepen our relationship with Tencent, one of the most significant internet companies in the world,” Španěl said....

The ghosthunting game’s latest update, Nightmare, rolled out earlier this week, although developer Kinetic Games didn’t give away much about the new adventure beyond the fact it involved camping in the wilderness with the new map, Maple Lodge campsite. It turns out that the new location is full of creepy little Easter Eggs, including the surprising cameo from one of horror’s most iconic figures. There doesn’t seem to be a specific way to encourage Slender to spawn - according to Reddit commenters, it’s just a “one in three chance to spawn, no special method or technique” - although it seems there are five places where he can make an appearance....

As it stands, it’s pretty fun. I’ve spent about five hours raiding since the mode arrived in yesterday’s 1.1.2 update - enough time to tick off its main objectives - and will probably dip back in again to unlock more of its lengthier cosmetic pursuits. It’s not perfect - more on that in a bit - and for a mode about raiding it could do with some juicer ongoing incentives....

This is the first time any game in the Assassin’s Creed series has received this level of post-launch support, but this news isn’t surprising. Firstly, Valhalla has gone down very well. Secondly, as we reported last month, datamining has pointed to the mythical realm of Muspelheim coming down the line. And, indeed, Ubisoft teased Muspelheim tonight. Before all that, Valhalla has its previously-announced Siege of Paris expansion coming this summer....

Reporting its half year results to 30th September 2022, the Paris-based company admitted any delays in the development of its four activities (gaming, hardware, licensing and blockchain), or underperformance in its initiatives may cause it to make less money than expected, and in turn spark “a liquidity shortfall and additional financing requirements”. There’s an “uncertain macro-environment” for video games and blockchain, the latter of which Atari has gone in heavily on, and so the company reckons actually implementing its new strategy “may require additional funding resources”....

Coming on 17th March 2022, it’s a re-release of the 2014 fighting game released on PS3 and Xbox 360, that acts as a follow up to Persona 4 Arena, sequel to the fan-favourite Persona 4. The game includes characters from Persona 3 and 4 battling against each other, with a visual novel style story mode. The release date was announced at The Game Awards. Fans suspected a new game was on the way when the Steam page for Atlus was updated this week with an extra title....

The expansion, called Children of the Worm, will feature a brand-new story campaign with a new enemy type. There’s also new playable Cleaner known as “Prophet Dan,” a gun toting, self-proclaimed preacher of the end times. Children of the Worm will also include eight exclusive character skins and 12 exclusive weapon skins, along with new weapons, accessories, and cards. The expansion pack is set to be released on 30th August and is included as part of the Back 4 Blood Annual Pass, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition, Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition, or via standalone purchase for £11....
