Speaking to investors last night, EA boss Andrew Wilson said the publisher was taking “the long view” when it came to the franchise, and that it would remain a big part of EA for the forseeable future. Wilson praised former Respawn boss Vince Zampella in his new expanded role in which he also oversees some Battlefield development, and also promised EA would continue to “grow” Battlefield 2042 - after righting its ship first....

There is a werewolf equivalent in Evil West, and I reckon they get to the heart of what’s great about this euphoric, silly, straight-ahead chugging blast of a video game. Simple really. When you first meet werewolves they’re absolutely terrifying. They’re overwhelming. Each one is a boss fight in itself. Wow! What was that? Hope I don’t see any more of them, pardner! It’s a cute little title that puts you backstage managing your own music festival, thankfully without your wellies getting sucked into a muddy hole. It’s a wonder really that more sim games haven’t tapped into the festival scene. Selling tickets; managing amenities; booking bands and sponsors; pleasing thirsty guests and demanding artists - this is all great fodder for a strategy game....

The Finals, which is being developed by Embark Studios, was codenamed Project Discovery. One notable oddity of the Top Gun expansion is that it’ll be launching without what’s arguably its biggest feature: the F/A-18E Super Hornet. However, that’s only because Asobo made the decision to release the plane early as part of last year’s free Game of the Year Edition update when the expansion was delayed alongside the Top Gun: Maverick movie. The Cyberpunk 2077 team lifted the lid on this new project earlier today and, while details on this novel (for now at least) are still fairly thin on the ground, we know that it will be called “No Coincidence”. Meanwhile, the story will follow a “group of strangers” doing what they can to negotiate the “dangers of Night City”. Something of which, we all know, there are many. No Coincidence, which CDPR has confirmed will not be a graphic novel, comes from Rafał Kosik....

Such as the past few weeks, the first quest in this set involves using one of the payphones across the Fortnite map, and it’s followed with the tasks to catch fish at fishing holes and collect a vintage can of at food in Catty Corner or Craggy Cliffs.
