On the event day - Saturday 20th February - its schedule will see players collecting creatures that differ each hour, similar to the global Go Fest event last year. Creatures associated with Ash Ketchum’s home of Pallet Town will be featured from 9am to 10am, for example, with Pewter City, Cerulean City, Fuchsia City and the Pokémon League in the hours to follow, before the cycle resets. The event’s final two hours, from 7-9pm, will feature all Pokémon from the entire event at once....

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will launch in late 2021, and see a retro-styled return to Sinnoh. Characters have a chibi-style on the overworld, not dissimilar to the Link’s Awakening remake, but will be full-size in battles. An open-world Sinnoh game set in a more feudal version of the region will then follow next year, more similar in style to Pokémon Sword and Shield. As noted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, PUBG saw its concurrent peak player count climb to 668,707 on Steam following its shift to free-to-play earlier today, beating its previous two month highs by more than 300k players. That’s some considerable way off its all-time peak of 3,236,027 players on Steam, reached in January 2018, but it’s still a significant boost for a title that’s seen a steady decline in player numbers since then - starting 2021 with around 450k concurrents based on figures from Steam Charts, and failing to climb back above the 400k mark in the last three months of the year....

Earlier this week, I had the chance to play the beginning of Diablo 4, and I put around 10 hours into it. I came away very impressed. To be clear, there’s a lot I didn’t see - the whole shared world vision for the game wasn’t particularly apparent because there weren’t a lot of people playing it. But what I did see, I liked. There’s more depth to this Diablo, and more space and freedom in it, than I think I’ve ever seen in a Diablo game....

Officially, we’ve heard nothing about Re:Verse now for nearly a year, since its second delay last July. Once intended to arrive alondside Village in May 2021, it now holds a vague “2022” release date. However, a new PEGI rating for a Stadia version of the game popped up over the weekend, suggesting Capcom was back prepping the game for launch (thanks, Gematsu). Re:verse is a six-player deathmatch competitive multiplayer mode featuring various characters from Resident Evil’s series history, such as Chris, Jill, Leon, Ada and Hunk, drenched in a comic book-like effect....

Retro Studios - the developer behind the Metroid Prime series - was long-rumoured to have worked on a canned Zelda game and in 2020 concept art of the project was discovered. Now, YouTube channel Did You Know Gaming has uncovered more information about the project.
