Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Facility 47, WRC 9, Etherborn, Whispering Willows and Last Day of June complete the line-up. Also included this month is exclusive content for online games including GTA Online, FIFA 23, and Apex Legends. The other standout game here is Last Day of June, which received a Recommended badge in our review at launch for its emotional punches, eerie visuals, and spine-tingling soundtrack....

As announced at the recent PlayStation State of Play, the mode arrives as part of the Ascension free DLC that also includes campaign co-op. What follows details what to expect in the Tower of Sisyphus, so spoilers ahead. The Tower of Sisyphus is an endless mode which tasks players with ascending multiple floors by clearing waves of enemies, like a “greatest hits remix” of the main game. Just as with the main game, Selene can increase her weapon proficiency and health through pickups and gain access to new weapons and items periodically on specific safe floors....

The YouTube channel, best known for its long-form documentaries covering the development of numerous games, both released and unreleased, uploaded the new footage which it recorded during a 2020 visit to Arkane Lyon. “This footage is being made public as part of Noclip’s mission to document and preserve the history of video games,” wrote Noclip in the description of the video. Danny O’Dwyer, Noclip’s host and editor, explained the footage shows a build was created towards the end of development to show Valve the progress Arkane had made....

The video, below, is rather annoyingly edited, with so many jump cuts it’s hard to make out exactly what Shun’ei is doing in the snippets of gameplay. But we do get to see a few combos, and they look pretty slick. For the uninitiated, Shun’ei is the main protagonist of King of Fighters 14, and returns for the sequel. Last week, SNK confirmed Mai, Kyo, Leona, K’, and Benimaru are also in King of Fighters 15....

It’s a story that began last August, when IO announced PC players would be able to carry their Hitman 2 progression and unlocks over from Steam into Hitman 3 on the Epic Games Store - and, more pertinently, that existing Hitman 1 & 2 owners would be able to import locations from those games into the series’ third instalment at no extra cost via an Access Pass. However, in January this year, a little over a week before Hitman 3’s release, IO made a sudden U-turn, announcing that “due to various circumstances out of our control, we want to acknowledge that the process is different to our initial plans for PC players”....

This the second Mushroom Kingdom theme park area to open globally, following the first’s opening at Universal Studios in Japan in 2021. The two will share a number of similar attractions, including an AR Mario Kart-themed ride, a Mario-themed cafe and exclusive merchandise. But the US version will lack its big Yoshi’s Adventure ride - cut, it was previously reported, due to size issues. A third Super Nintendo World is already under construction at Universal Orlando Resort, and is reportedly set to open in 2025....

A new launch trailer for Hoopa’s entrance highlights this Pokémon’s unique set of abilities. With a focus on teleportation, the new inclusion of Hoopa will allow players to warp to different gates thanks to the Pokémon’s “Hyperspace Hole” ability. Meanwhile, with Unite Move “Rings Unbound”, Hoopa will transform into their Hoopa Unbound mode. This will provide Hoopa with more powerful attacks, as well as allowing it to deploy a one-time teleportation point for ally Pokémon to warp to....

Forbidden West continues on the story of Zero Dawn’s protagonist Aloy, as she must travel west to find the source of a mysterious plague. Forbidden West looks absolutely amazing, and it is worth its full price tag for the size and depth of its world and how beautiful it looks. The game is a lot of fun too, exploration is rewarding and the interaction with the machines is challenging and has a lot of variety....

While is is possible to find a Crash Pad items amongst randomised chest and floor loot, there is a good Crash Pad location that’s also near to an off-road tires location and access to a vehicle that can take you to a Bouncy Slurpshroom location to help you clear this challenge quickly. Completing this Fortnite task will reward you with 15k XP, which will then help you towards unlocking the new Battle Pass skins....

Eurogamer’s Christian Donlan was thoroughly charmed by Minute of Islands’ early moments when he took the Steam Game Festival demo for a spin last month, calling it a “neat blend of exploration, traversal and puzzle solving”, both fascinating and disquieting....
