This update was debuted by Waikuteru, one of the mod’s developers (there are currently over 50 creators working on it). Waikuteru says: “In this video you will be able to see the latest changes to the first four shrines on the Great Plateau overhauled by Normie’s Progress”. Per GamesIndustry.biz, Unity’s board of directors decided to reject AppLovin’s offer in order to go ahead with a previously announced deal with IronSource. Here, the board stated that AppLovin’s proposal was “not in the best interests of Unity shareholders.” Meanwhile, on the IronSource deal, Unity CEO John Riccitiello said: “The board continues to believe that the IronSource transaction is compelling and will deliver an opportunity to generate long-term value through the creation of a unique end-to-end platform that allows creators to develop, publish, run, monetise, and grow live games and real-time 3D content seamlessly....

Maybe I’m getting old (or just slower) but it wasn’t New World’s rather thrilling and actually challenging combat that kept me coming back for more - it was poking around at bushes and boulders that did it for me. Because of all this, exploring the world of New World is incredibly distracting. You’ll start heading towards a quest location then realise there are a bunch of boulders nearby that you could hack away at, gain some resources, then pick up some experience along the way....

I like to joke about how, for me, RuneScape is less of a game and more of a lifestyle choice; though, after 15 years, I should probably admit to myself that this joke is bordering on the realm of fact. This Christmas I’m going back to the house where I grew up. The A500 Mini takes its inspiration from the Amiga 500, a 1987 release and the most popular of the Amiga family. The original device operated on a Motorola 68000 clocked at ~7MHz with 512KB RAM, the latter spec giving the console its name. The A500 Mini is a bit more modern, with an All Winner H6 ARM chip and Amiberry emulation software running at a base resolution of 720p. Like other recent ‘mini’ releases, this is a complete emulation solution, in this case closely based on Raspberry Pi 3 hardware support with somewhat higher accuracy and compatibility due to its roots in WinUAE, the de facto emulation solution for Amiga as a whole....

That’s according to Wall St Journal sources, via a fresh report tonight. The question of whether Kotick would leave has remained - officially - unanswered, though the vague wording of statements from Xbox boss Phil Spencer this afternoon seemed to suggest Kotick would only stick around to see out the company’s transition period. A statement issued to GamesIndustry.biz also says that an “interim update to employees is currently still being worked on.” Further, the company has “significantly increased the resources available” to investigate reports of misconduct and has investigated over 90 percent of reports since July 2021. ORIGINAL STORY 17/01/22: Activision Blizzard has pushed out almost 40 employees since July 2021, following allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct. According to the Wall Street Journal, these figures were set to be released before the winter holidays, but were held back by CEO Bobby Kotick as they could make the company’s workplace issues seem bigger than already known....

As detailed in its latest shareholder filing, Activision Blizzard’s board of directors is unanimously recommending shareholders vote against enacting the annual report, which would include several proposed metrics: the total number of pending sexual abuse, harassment or discrimination complaints the company is seeking to resolve through internal processes or ligation; details of the company’s progress toward reducing the average time it takes to resolve sexual abuse, harassment or discrimination complaints; the amount of money it has spent settling disputes related to sexual abuse, harassment or discrimination, and finally pay and hours worked consolidated data....

As outlined in Ubisoft’s new introductory video, Anno 1800’s fourth season will introduce a total of three new paid DLCs before 2022 is through, with its first offering being titled Seeds of Change. Arriving on 12th April, this will enable players to “revolutionise” the agricultural sector of the New World, introducing a powerful new building - the Hacienda - that will become the agricultural hub of players’ empires. Expanding the Hacienda with its various modules will enable players to gain access to a range of new agriculture-centric features, including the ability to produce import goods in the New World (such as beer) in order to help the population become more independent....

This is a different Avatar game from Ubisoft’s recently delayed Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and also different from Avatar: Generations, which was announced earlier this week and is, confusingly, also seemingly based on the popular Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. There are no images or product description, either, but instead lots of caveats about buying imported games that may or may not work with Japanese hardware. We do, however, see that the publisher is listed as Game Mill, which has previously created licensed games for popular shows like Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl....

Arenas come as part of the MMO’s latest update, which also ushers in expedition mutators, a Varangian Knights quest chain - where you can “continue the story of the Varangian Knights and their conquest for power” - a PvP rewards track, and “a whole host of other updates”. Each Arena match is a Best-of-five contest and the first to secure three of the two-minute-long rounds wins. Previously, Asobo said it was aiming to introduce 50-60 new points of interest as part of its UK update, alongside new procedural buildings (including churches), and improvements for a range of existing airports, such as Land’s End, Liverpool EGGP, and Manchester Barton. Expanding on that initial announcement in its latest blog post, Asobo confirmed the UK update will now include new aerials, an enhanced digital elevation model, two new landing challenges, 70 points of interest, five airports, and five brand-new photogrammetry cities....

Turtle Rock Studios’ Left 4 Dead-style co-op zombie shooter runs its early access open beta from 5th to 9th August for those who pre-order. The new trailer is below: Players can also register at the official website for a chance to get into the early access, but, Warner Bros. warned, registration does not guarantee access “as codes are limited”. The open beta then continues from 12th to 16th August, available to all players....

In a statement issued this afternoon, developer Arkane Lyon said it wanted to priority the health and safety of everyone working on the game. “We’ve made the decision to delay the launch of Deathloop to 14th September 2021,” Arkane Lyon wrote. “We’re committed to quality and preserving our team’s ambitions for Deathloop wile ensuring the health and safety of everyone at Arkane.
