The DLC, due out 5th October on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, is the second and final narrative expansion to the role-playing game. Trailer is below: “Final final… This is the last DLC for the game. Now you can jump in and play,” inXile boss Brian Fargo said on Twitter. Wasteland 3 came out August last year, and I thoroughly enjoyed it (check our our Wasteland 3 review for more). Its first expansion, The Battle of Steeltown, came out in June....

Inspired by the Monster Hunter series, it’s set in feudal Japan and features hunters battling some beautifully designed creatures known as Kemono that have fused bizarrely with nature, flora and fauna combined. If you’ve ever wanted to battle a giant pig with a paper umbrella, this is for you. Players fight against the winter wolf Deathstalker, which sets off their journey to restore balance to the world....

Totally Games was, of course, a big deal back in the 1990s, having made a name for itself with LucasArts’ hugely popular series of Star Wars space shooters, which included the likes of X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. Sadly, the studio closed in 2015, following a string of critically and commercially disappointing releases - but fans will likely get a kick out of a new Axios report detailing a fantasy flight combat game the developer was working on in partnership with Microsoft at the height of its success....

Succeeding 2011’s Alice: Madness Returns, Alice: Asylum is part of McGee’s unique “crowd design process” and has been drawn up in consultation with his 3000+ Patreon backers. “This is it. At last… the Alice: Asylum Narrative Outline is available for you to download, read, and join in helping Crowd Design,” McGee said on Patreon, attaching the game’s full narrative outline as written by himself and Alex Crowley. It was seemingly only finalised on 20th August....

That’s according to datamined research from HEYimHeroic, a self-professed “Mii expert” who runs the Wii Facts Plus blog. Within Breath of the Wild’s files, NPCs are referred to as “UMii"s (Ultimate Miis?), who use a combination of familiar Mii facial components for their various designs. Breath of the Wild’s versions of these components are more detailed, and stylised to fit the game’s art style. But it is noticeable how many NPC characters share various bits and pieces of the same face parts....

YouTuber Red Nomster is known for creating Forge maps, but this might just be their best yet (as spotted by GamesRadar). All the obvious features are included, from Link’s house, to the item shop and the layout of tree houses and walkways. The ESIC has today announced sanctions against 35 Australian CS:GO players who breached its Anti-Corruption Code, hot on the heels of the seven who received sanctions back in October 2020. Two players who were sanctioned last year have also had their bans extended. Today’s sanctions have been issued for players who bet on matches in ESIC member events, including on their own matches or their team’s matches. The bans range from a “level one” 12-month ban for players who bet on matches, all the way up to a level five 60-month ban for aggravated betting against their own team....

Across its neat, low-poly landscapes, you play a streamlined game of golf that still manages to capture the game’s precise pleasures and ASMR detailing. Croteam dropped a cryptic video tease just before Christmas, but at just 34 seconds long and the description “man, it’s cold”, we didn’t have a lot to go on. Now, however, publisher Devolver Digital isn’t teasing as much as outright announcing with a new tweet: “What if a new Serious Sam game was being announced next week and released this month?” The trailer - which Devolver shared again, just in case they was any doubt - showed Sam Stone zipping across an ice-encrusted ocean on a small (and not very warm given the driver is in a t-shirt) boat, bouncing off a steel buoy....

In response to multiple lawsuits against the company, Activision Blizzard conducted its own investigation and has published the findings. “Contrary to many of the allegations, the Board and its external advisors have determined that there is no evidence to suggest that Activision Blizzard senior executives ever intentionally ignored or attempted to downplay the instances of gender harassment that occurred and were reported,” reads the report. “While there are some substantiated instances of gender harassment, those unfortunate circumstances do not support the conclusion that Activision senior leadership or the Board were aware of and tolerated gender harassment or that there was ever a systemic issue with harassment, discrimination or retaliation....

Slap them All! unfolds in the Roman-occupied Gaul, circa 50 BC, where, as publisher Micriods puts it, “Only one small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders.” Those Gauls, of course, include Asterix and Obelix, who players will be able to control as they journey (either solo or with a friend via local co-op) across iconic locations from the comic books, battling Roman legionaries, pirates, brigands, “and even the dreaded Normans”....

Game directors Kenji Saito and Takahisa Sugiyama were interviewed and discussed difficulties with developing a live service game. “It is our first time developing and amending content after release as part of a live service, so we need to prioritise player feedback above all else. In that sense, it really brings home the realisation that this game is very much a service as well as a standalone product,” said Saito....

This initial round of improvements will target Battlefield 2042’s Kaleidoscope map, and will - as previously detailed - focus on adjustments to cover, intensity, line of sight, pathing, and traversal. These have been achieved by adding new flag positions, by placing new areas and assets around the map, and by raising terrain. DICE says terrain changes will “break sightlines and let infantry move more purposefully around the map”, while new assets will “bring more tactical destruction”, giving players new options as the environment evolves throughout a game....
