According to a tweet from the company’s official Twitter account, CEO Takruo Mizobe offered the paid “Elden Holiday” leave in recognition that staff will be “unable to focus on work” on the day From Software’s latest saga is released. Though not officially classed as a day off, staff also don’t have to come into the office on Monday, either, so they can play into the late hours of Monday morning, too (thanks, Automaton Media)....

In a blog post, the company detailed plans to develop a “decentralised crowdfunding protocol” so people can “launch and fund creative projects anywhere” across the web. Essentially Kickstarter’s core functionality will be made open source and live on a public blockchain hosted by Celo, a carbon-negative public blockchain platform, to allow access for users across the world. “This openness enables everyone who is interested in the promise of crowdfunding to help build its future and have a say and stake in how it works,” reads the blog post....

eFootball - the new name for PES - arrived in a disastrous state late last year, despite Konami warning players it would arrive in extremely limited form akin to a demo. Konami insisted the game would evolve over time, but players have been left waiting months for this v1.0.0 update to arrive. In the meantime, eFootball’s mobile spin-off was postponed, and the game’s controversial premium player pack was pulled from sale....

Square faced a furious backlash from Avengers players last month after it began selling XP booster “consumables” in the game’s real-money store, despite pre-launch promises it would only ever monetise cosmetics. As spotted by TheGamer, streamer boba accidentally discovered a skip in the original, 23-year-old Metal Gear Solid game over the weekend that saves over two minutes of play. The clip below shows the moment boba discovered the skip: The glitch occurred in Communication Tower A. Under normal circumstances, players must climb the stairs all the way to the top of the tower (27 staircases!). However, during boba’s playthrough, the guards managed to shoot Snake through a locked door halfway up the tower, triggering the next section of the game....

So why do we recommend this 3200MT/s CL16 spec? As noticed by PSVortex, games such as Horizon: Forbidden West and Cyberpunk 2077 will have trials lasting five hours, which seems a fairly generous offering.
