Wordle Answer Today For 26Th July What Is The Word Today For 402

For the uninitiated, the aim of Wordle is to work out a daily five-letter word within six guesses. The fewer the guesses, the better - and if you fail to guess it at all, you’ll break your streak. The latter is why working out today’s Wordle answer is such a priority, as players pride themselves on keeping their streak going. So why gamble on a risky final guess when you can learn a few clues and, failing that, get the definitive answer?...

Wrc 10 Review A Feast Of Off Road Delights

We’ve gone back to a few real gems, so for more catch-up reviews like this one head to the Games That Got Away hub, where all our pieces from the series will be rounded up in one convenient place. Enjoy! In a sport where the stopwatch is king, it’s baffling that KT Racing seems to have fluffed its timing. WRC 10 - which continues the upward trajectory the series has taken since the French studio took over in 2015 - celebrates the 50th anniversary of a sport that started in 1973, which by my admittedly shaky maths makes this party a little premature....

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Is Really That Good

Today on Weekly, Martin Robinson dives into Xenoblade Chronicles 3, a game he’s just rated Essential and spent the last month playing. What’s so good about it? And can I play it if I haven’t played the others? We hear it from the horse’s mouth. (Note: Martin is not actually a horse.) Christian Donlan, meanwhile, takes us into the world of Rollderdrome, which looks to be another banger from London-based OlliOlli developer Roll7 - how does it do it?...

Zelda Ocarina Of Time Is Finally In The Video Game Hall Of Fame

The Strong Museum’s World Video Game Hall of Fame, based in Rochester, New York, has inducted 36 games since it began in 2015. Now it includes three seminal games, all deserving of their place. Nintendo’s 1998 classic was the first 3D Zelda game, setting the template for future 3D action-adventure games to this day. It also remains the highest scoring game of all time (according to Metacritic) and is widely considered one of the best games ever made....

29 Years On Has Final Fantasy Broken The Spell Of Active Time Battle

We see this, of course, in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, an exquisite but flawed attempt to blend the rhythms of the old FF7 battle system with the action movie choreography that has long hypnotised the likes of Motomu Toriyama, FF7R’s co-director. Where battle in Final Fantasy on PS1 resembles a quaint theatre production, with characters lining up against painted backdrops (FF9’s intro actually concludes with a brawl on-stage), battle in FF7R is a sprawling, hyperactive mess of flying limbs and blades, streaking projectiles and screen-whiting detonations....

30Xx Is Already Lovely

This series takes Mega Man X, with its dashing, jumping, blasting platform play, and spins it into a roguelite. Bosses still give you an extra power, but the levels and all that jazz are procedurally scrambled. The controls are beautiful - movement has a lovely sense of weight, and there’s a bit of Capcom mastery in stuff like the dash-jump that can get you across long gaps. Throw in level gadgets like blocks that move in a certain direction before exploding and platforms that only exist for a few seconds after you hit the switch and there’s plenty to think about....

Activision Blizzard Staff Criticise Company S Dystopian Diversity Tool

Known as the Diversity Space Tool, it was started in 2016 and has been in beta at mobile studio King. It’s intended to boost the diversity of characters in games, but has been criticised for belittling diversity and diminishing it to a checklist. A blog post about the tool was shared on 12th May, but has since been heavily edited. Originally it mentioned the Overwatch 2 team was experimenting with the tool, but this has since been removed....

Adios Is A Small Quiet 90 Minute Narrative With A Knack For Storytelling Texture

Maybe the best explanation is by example, which in this case is Adios. Adios is not a long game, and being of limited scope and budget it’s not particularly grand, either. You’ll probably finish it in one sitting, clocking in at less than two hours, and what you’ll do in those two hours is simple: you walk, and talk, and just live a day in another life. This is the magic of it though....

Apex Legends Valkyrie Will No Longer Be Able To Take Mid Air Coffee Breaks

As explained by associate live balance designer John Larson, players figured out that hovering with Valkyrie’s jetpack currently costs very little fuel - and were using this to “take coffee breaks above the final fight in scrims”. It reminds me a bit of when Fortnite players used planes to stay out of battles until the very last moment. In any case, the 10 percent fuel cost for hovering is now being removed entirely, and from Thursday onwards it will cost you the full 100 percent to hang around in the air....

Bethesda Confirms Your Character Won T Be Voiced In Starfield

If you’re only familiar with Bethesda games prior to Fallout 4, that probably won’t seem like all that big a deal, given that mute protagonists and lengthy first-person conversations with dead-eyed NPCs were par for the course in Fallout 3, New Vegas, Skyrim, and Oblivion. It’s really only notable when you factor in Fallout 4; here, Bethesda opted for a slightly more cinematic approach to its story telling, switching to third-person perspective during dialogue scenes and introducing a fully voiced protagonist - the latter drawing complaints from fans that felt the decision had forced the developer to limit the breadth and depth of conversation options compared to those seen in previous games....
